I have Direct TV at home but only for one TV and I would like to have another box for my wife, I can watch it in another room. I found some on ebay with an access card and was thinking about buying it but TV, direct charges me extra monthly? Do I tell them that I bought new receptors for them to activate?

you can, but you must be aware of a number of things.

Firstly, satellite receivers have often used "sale" attached to them, which means that the old user has not paid what they owed. If the receiver must be used again, even if it's because of another person, the balance of the needs still to pay. I would like to contact the seller on ebay and make sure there is no balance. You can also get the receiver ID # and # ID of the seller and communicate with DirecTV to know the balance yourself. If they say there's no balance, then you're ready to go.

other hand, unfortunately, DirecTV will charge an additional $ 5 per month for a second receiver on your account. Most people mistakenly believe that it is a "monthly rent" the box. Make sure the previous owner does not balance or they used to activate it. rec # get the id form the seller and DirecTV call to see if its clear. the access card is useless, they will get paid $ 20.00 for a new, payable when you request more for express delivery. and $ 5.00 more per month for programming. you can install your self, your dish has enough space for more rec .... if you have one now
