Where can I buy a UPC code of a new product? If I buy the UCC is a minimum of $ 750 and I have to renew annually for $ 150. There are sites that pretend to buy in bulk and then resell the codes indivdual for under $ 100. No renewal fee. Does anyone have experience with it?
To make a UPC bar code for a new product first obtain a serial number of the Uniform Code Council: http://www.uc-council.org/ You can then assign a number for each product SKU. The serial number and product number and must be 11 digits. Remember, each product needs a unique UPC bar code.
UPCTools creates UPC, Bookland, ISSN, Jan, and barcodes EAN: http://www.azalea.com/UPC/buyUPC.html
The Uniform Code Council, Inc. (UCC) will award a manufacturer, distributor or vendor prefix of your home and provide you with the remaining digits, including the check digit. You must be part of the UCC to play the game if you do not have many products that you can work with an existing distributor who has a prefix of UCC barcode for your product for a very low price.
