Apocalypse 17
1. What part of the Bible that brought you to this conclusion?
It was chapter 17 of the book of the Apocalypse. Please read this entire chapter from your Bible carefully. His exhibition is given below.
2. Give a brief explanation of this chapter.
Briefly, John is shown the final judgments of the great prostitute because of his own line of conduct. The great prostitute, known as Babylon the great, was presented to John in the wilderness (v.3). This is an important parameter, as discussed later.
The description of the prostitute is parallel to the first Beast of Apocalypse 13, which also has seven heads and ten horns (v.7) indicating that the two symbols represent the same entity that made the Roman Catholic papal system . In addition, the prostitute is described as sitting on seven mountains (v.9). Rome has often been identified as the city of seven hills, the classical period to contemporary times.
Considering that in Apocalypse 13 of the Union of Church and State has been mixed with a symbol, in Apocalypse 17 God has photographed separately. A woman always symbolizes a church in the Bible, in this case, the prostitute church impure. And a beast has always signified a kingdom or state that persecutes God's people. So we have an impure woman sitting on (ie controlling) a scarlet (a bloody) beast (state). This further reinforces the reality of the Catholic system is the only system that is a church and an earthly kingdom, at the same time. The prostitute is described as being eminently rich, proud, and, most importantly, very corrupt (v.4, 5). Indeed, it represents Satan Supreme final instrument of deception.
The following verses are key verses: "And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and it is, and the other has not yet come, and when he comes he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not even, it is the eighth, and is seven, and goeth into perdition. "Apocalypse 17:10, 11. God details the seven heads of the beast, which are identified as seven kings. Significantly, the vision was seen during the reign of the sixth king. It was to be followed by the seventh king, who reign for a short period. However, the eighth king is going to be one of the seven previous kings, but when he emerges from the abyss (v.8), it will not just simply be a king (in power) but a fool (a persecuting power), finally, it will then go to perdition.
When one of the seven kings returns from the abyss, as the eighth king, but as a beast, the ten kings of the earth (v.12) (ten is an all-inclusive, phone number universal.
