Where can I find information on child support laws in Texas? Where can I find information on the laws of Texas Child Support. I have a friend who is paying his child support soon ex-wife directly and he wonders if that will be considered as support for children, once it goes to court. If someone has a good website I've seen I'd be very appriecate.

Here, try your state judiciary website. That's where I got my information when I had to go through child custody and support, which is public domain. Your friend should pay for itself by spending time through the information found on this site before you hire a lawyer this way, he knows he has hired a lawyer or non-decent by being able to talk "talk lawyer. A little knowledge goes so loooong!
BTW - I did not pay a lawyer and I am not a lawyer, I did a small study of self and did it myself. Therefore, I paid nearly $ 5,000 or more!
Hope this helps! Good luck!
