Starting A Catering Business

So Im very interested in starting a catering service. I love to cook and serve the people and have been interested in this for some time. Although I do not know much about starting businesses and even less a caterer. Everyone knows the ins and outs or advice on how to start this place? I do not know anything .. Thank you!

my bf owns a catering business. Generally, it acts as an intermediary and hooks people up, it was to do as he did not actually do the hard work itself. but he started as a waiter in a restaurant industry (as in a vfw or Elks Club) and learned all he needed to know. put in his time and paid his dues until he had amassed enough wealth to buy out his partner:)
