The Healing Power of Hope By Elke Zilla Marilyn Geddes: - Hope does not deny the darkness, but it reminds us that dawn is coming "... Martin Luther King Jr.
While waiting for laboratory tests, one day, I shared a log entry with an adorable old man sitting next to me. In anticipation of my next article, I wrote,
We can never understand why things happen. Things happen for different reasons, reasons beyond our reach for reasons perhaps only the code of our soul. For all of us, uncertainty is a fact of life, but if we live in fear of the disease, we surrender part of our lives in fear. The biggest challenge for us is to trust enough to relax fully into the life and embrace the healing powers of hope throughout pervasive concern is to invite our attention.
The man finished reading, and sat in silence for a few moments. Then he frankly asked a question that went through me like a dagger, "Is it possible that your personal information, the crusade optimistic the disease could give false hope to those whose prognosis is much worse?"
Amazed that he had asked my unwavering dedication to the hope, I tried to make sense of his words by asking myself the following questions:
false hopes ... What is it?
Is it wrong to extend hope to another who moves into a more advanced stage of the same disease?
Is this the good fortune of a person and healing: the other must be rejected and forgotten?
Would I see things differently if my predictions have been disastrous?
Do I have the audacity to declare that whatever the circumstance - everything will be alright? .
During my journey with cancer, I was enthusiastic, compassionate teachers. The small seeds of hope have they provided a catalyst for change. The nuggets of encouragement to me high higher ground and eventually had a huge impact on my body at the cellular level. It is my pleasure to share the inspiration and wisdom gave me a lot. We all pass the baton as participants in this magnificent lighting Relay for Life Haliburton. We are the pioneers on a track that runs throughout the healing process for us and our teammates: those who we honor and love. There is no place in this race to false hopes. The victory lap starts and ends in mind.
The mind still believes and has faith in something. The question is: "Do you have faith in the power of fear or do you believe in the power of possibility?" More specifically, "Have you lost confidence in the power of cancer to kill you that you have faith in the power of love to heal you? "When we see things differently and optimistic, he returns to us in a peaceful presence, a power to withdraw this challenge, otherwise we maintain or swing his authority over us. You do not deny that the illness or problem exists, but you refused his power over you. This state of peace and quiet that opens the answers.
A few months ago I attended a sold-out event in Toronto called extraordinary Dreamhealer . The conference was facilitated by Adam, 22, a molecular biologist from old Vancouver. Adam is a gifted energy healer who shares profoundly miraculous story of how he discovered his ability to heal wounds and disease. Her workshops focus on spectacular visualizations, self-healing and empowerment. This was uncharted territory for me - to test how our thoughts and intentions influence the biochemistry of the body, activate the immune system and restaurant.
