Motorcycle title / deed of sale, in South Carolina? I am buying a motorcycle off a friend of mine. I trust him. He has no original title, and it is a difficult time with the previous company lein. It deals only over when he has the chance, he went a lot. What I know is that we can move forward and make up a bill of sale instead, I can use to obtain insurance, registration and things the DMV. I think I read that the DMV online issue a duplicate title with a deed of sale anyway? Whenever the title does come, then that may be signed on too I guess. Thank you for looking.
I know he is gone a lot. But when he is not gone, you both go to the DMV and the clerk at the window tells you everything you need to do to buy it today. A supervisor can do the double title while you wait. You can read the privilege at the time. It may take only 5 minutes to the window. Do not go there without your friend. Do not go there with a bill of sale and not a friend ..
What year is the bike? All states are different, but in Georgia, the last registered owner must request a duplicate title. The deed of sale does not do any good unless the bike is old. If the former owner continues to show a lien on file and then must obtain a release of lien on the lien and to consider that in the DMV and get a dual capacity, a sign that you have the floor. The bill sales arent legal ownership documents.
