| MarketplaceRedemptive HistoryPosted on June 14, 2010. Redemption and salvation Original Sin Normal human beings, we believe that the God we worship is filled with compassion, love and forgiveness. Almost all religions of the world also claim that their Gods / Goddesses lawyer compassion, love and forgiveness. But here we are in charge with the sin committed by s the first man and woman who did not obey the command of God in the Bible. Three of the major world religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam claim to their faithful that they are born sinners because their first father and the mother has committed a crime.
This assertion in turn creates a feeling of guilt among followers of the respective religions and that guilt leads to fear of God because we are born sinners subject to punishment. The same holy books also suggest or rather gives mankind a promise that the Messiah will one day come and redeem us from this original sin. The messianic figure is enhanced by these religions as the messenger of the gods or God or the son of God himself.
For a man or a woman thinking it does not seem reasonable or logical, because a God presented him as one of compassion, love and forgiveness of God, can not be so cruel as to all future generations to meet for a the first sin committed by man and woman. We humanity in our humble innocence could believe that God is merciful, loving and forgiving would have long since forgiven the sin of the first man and woman. But Scripture denies this attribute of forgiveness from God and assures us that God is not compassion, love and forgiveness, but is punitive. The writing itself also provides disciples that God is just and impartial.
One begins to ask why this contradiction and concludes as possible that the religious elite are using this sense of guilt and fear of subsequent innocent followers to control them. They also require more innocent followers of the laws of Scripture and frighten innocent believers into submission. The fear of retaliation makes the innocent faithful of these religions diligently follow the law of Scripture, no questions asked. Any opposition supporters who may opt to question the rationality of the doctrine are properly dealt with either by a severe punishment or death.
To add to the fear of innocent followers the concept of heaven and hell are propagated, a promise of obedience to heaven and hell for the rebels. Any logical person naturally assume that God is merciful, loving and forgiving the first couple would have forgiven their sins, in this case, the question of redemption does not arise. When you think deeply on this subject, it becomes obvious that doubling original sin does not exist and we are not born sinners, but the pans into the hands of religious leaders. Jesus as the Messiah In the Old Testament of the Bible from Genesis the first book of Malachi the last book, it was prophesied that God will send his Messiah to redeem mankind from this original sin.
