The report is that the Jehovah's Witnesses settled 14 abuse cases out of court recently true? This is a report on some of the newsgroups Jehovah's Witness Watchtower Society settled 14 lawsuits taken against them by victims of abuse within their congregations out of court. All these cases were in the United States, and is also reported that the Watchtower has been able to impose a gag order preventing the plaintiffs from their IPO colonization. However, the news has apparently been disclosed, and not by the applicants or their legal representatives, but by people within the organization who want the truth must be told. Apparrently the courthouse of the Napa Valley in California has confirmed that these cases have in fact been settled out of court, but no details on the size of payments has been revealed as yet. If these reports are accurate, it seems that the Watchtower Society has again been able to cover cases of abuse within their organization, although the settlement agreement is an admission of guilt in itself.

Re: huge "payment / settlement, if we simply put two and two, it is not difficult to understand why WTBTS decided to do it (strangely, too many assuming that the WT did not to fight a long battle. The recent decisions of California courts have ruled in favor of the victims of violence in that state.
