How do I print a PDF form of proxy for free? Everyone that I found requires a credit card or a fee. There must be a site where I can download the form free. Please help!
There are two types of POA, Healthcare POA and financial (sustainable) POA. It's OK to use a POA free care as long as it is for your own state of residence.
The POA is due to health care is free because every state legislature has the written language, which will provide legal POA in that State, in law, then the free sites just copy law books. The reason financial POAs are not free because most states do not have language written into the law because "everyone's situation is different" (this may be) and they want you to see a lawyer to be sure Do you know what you do.
For financial POA, at least use an inexpensive line (again, the state-specific) of nolo.com, Quicken Willmaker. They are not very expensive and have been around for a very long time. Do some research to be sure I understand what they are and ask you what a POA can and can not do. Until you have a form of state-specific, you do not need an atty unless your situation is really complicated. But be sure you understand all the terminology, because a POA is a powerful document that allows someone else to manage your money and property!
If you have a lawyer prepare your will, they usually do a POA for nothing or almost nothing. In addition, you can always have an attorney read and review your POA before signing it, and find someone who does not care much for the "peace of mind."
If you use it for something important, "free" forms which are advertised on the internet cause you hassle and aggravation, if the person who receives and inspects No one notices' is invalid and rejected. Most Internet sites that advertise the free power of attorney forms are just sophisticated internet adsense (advertising) or affiliate (committee) web sites and just type forms from anywhere they can find without thinking (or knowledge) whether or not it is legitimate or even state in which it was originally created for use in. There's only about four states that allow same verbiage and recognition on a form of proxy.
Stay away free websites for legal form, especially those who will ask for your credit card or personal information.
