Do I pay for a will? To begin, I am a single woman without children. I've been searching online for a free will and they will all have provision for children, among other things that do not apply at all to me. The only thing I can find that fits all my needs are those who do all the work for you, but you have to pay.
Suggestions??
A will in your own handwriting, a handwritten will is acceptable.
You can use one of the freest, as a model and add or remove anything that is necessary.
Just get it notarized and make someone knows where to find it at your death.
If you marry and or have children then it will pay for a will to ensure that your intentions are carried out.

I do not know of any free services, but I went through www.legalzoom.com and it is very inexpensive and easy to do. I'd have to think well.
The most common thing that invalidates a will is improper execution. If you do not know what you do, you can make a will that is completely valid. If you have enough assets to worry about, you have enough to hire a lawyer. It's not that expensive if you know what you have and how you want to get rid of it.
