I am an Irish person living in Australia, I just lost my job because of a back injury ...? It was an old injury aggravated by a shift on the floor of the factory on Monday. I have been absent from work for four days because of this in great pain, and were treated at the hospital. I provided my employer with any medical certificates and a full report on the damage of doctors and treatments, and yet I still lost my job. Can anyone help me regarding my rights or with advice on what I can do now - it took a long time to find work and I do not know where another person in that job will the city is hiring. Principal issues I be a bear for roof in my header and making money home before I visa expires. Also need time for the injury to heal so I can actually. All advice much appreciated.
I'm Irish too and was myself, lost a job to an injury just go home. People will now use your situation as a way to take advantage of you. Believe me, you want to be somewhere you're not wanted and difficulty. Ireland is your home, you should be back here. Even with our embassy there and see if they can go home. You did well to go to a foreign policy and find jobs, pack what you can sell what you do not need. But as an Irish citizen, you should have the right to be repatriated stranded and injured citizens of Ireland.
If it is a preexisting injury you will not be able to get your travel insurance to cover it. You need to return to the United Kingdom and seek care in the NHS. They deal with Irish as well. And if your injury is very severe, you may be able to apply for a disability allowance from the United Kingdom. But I thought that the provisions are more generous Oz. But you do not have a passport of the AU. Perhaps the application because one is your best bet. Then you can tap into their system.
The person above me your joking British why would you be able to claim our benefits. I love the way she wants to apply for an Australian passport for the sole reason that you can tap into their social welfare system. Im not really sure how to help you im a strong supporter of free market and believe businesses should be able to fire and hire highly arbitrary. If you can not find work the best is simply to return to Ireland.
You seem to be a visitor so if nobody hires in the town, you are moving. If you are on a temporary visa, you should always have enough money or a ticket of leave. You have put yourself in a vulnerable position in a place where you have no rights. My suggestion would be to borrow money from someone in the house and go home.
Your pre-existing injury means nothing. You fell and injured himself. You may not be entitled to full compensation because of the existing pre However, if u want vis the employer not to return your job, then dob in safety.
The employer must provide clean records to speak at this exact moment where usually the most likely to have their WorkCover and fine for breach of duty of employees Kafir. Once thats done, it is possible to use that admission of the failure of companies to take care of security and help you pay.
However, given your health condition was preexisting is where I am lost on what you can get compensation.
You can have the right to get your job if
