House Deeds Storage

Posted on July 11, 2010.
House Deeds StorageHow do I get the deed to the parents of the House, both parents died. Sister Act and the contract was home but he lost.?

Sister got into drugs, his house was the times and everything has been prepared for storage and has never been recovered, lost everything. I called the son of someone who sold the home to parents in 1962, he has no idea about it. Act has never been registered. Person who sold the home to parents away.Back past when my parents bought the house they had a contract with the owner, the house was paid off in 1984 and it was homesteaded. How do I get action.

First, we need the approval of your parents' property if it was not already. You will also submit a title "quiet" court action. A quiet title action is essentially asking the judge to issue a court order to determine who are the rightful owners of the property are. This is not something you can do yourself. You should hire a lawyer. You can find a local attonrey www.martindale.com.

If your sister was barred because of failure to pay taxes, you buy the tax man.

If your sister if she had mortgaged the custody and Bank repossesed, find out which bank offers to buy part of the fair market value. Since banks tend to see only a few cents against the dollar on the sale of foreclosed properties, they can go.

If your sister had been seized by the cops / federal government as part of a stopping medication, you should wait until they start selling assets seized. In both cases, you can ask to be placed on the "mailing" list when properties start to go.

As for access to the act ... with the City / County / Land Registery Office. They should have paper on the disposition of the property from her original purchase providing it is more recent.

That said, it is the honest little chance that you can make good returns in the family, but there is a chance. Honestly, I wish you the best and we hope that you can do. Do not get discouraged, and keep the faith. You can beat the odds!

Try your local courthouse ... acts most goods are there for tax purposes. Explain what happened, most offices love "mystery hunt" like this one;)
What your parents have a lawyer? check with them ...
Try to find utility bills to establish residency ... look at the site of local ownership of the area if available, mine is listed on our site county ... Good luck

You should start at the county courthouse to see if # 1, which legally owns the property, and # 2 if your parents had a will. The will govern how assets are disbursed. If there is no will, it will most likely be taken by the state in the certificate. Once all debts are satisfied by the money in real estate, the house will probably grant the survivor of the family. If more than one, the state could force a sale and the proceeds may be split. You may also need to retain a lawyer, who is living in cities. It could be a lengthy process, so be prepared to put in the time.
