When applying the "grant of probate" is there a need for a signature to be assisted by counsel of a second? After signing an application for "a grant of succession" in front of my own lawyer sent me to another lawyer who upset the form has already been signed by me. He commented that, but nevertheless "Witness" it anyhow.
This seems highly irregular to me.
Can anyone tell me if it is legal or not?
So is there a site where I could see "a grant of probate" layout?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
Bill

When you apply for registration you have to make a declaration before a Commissioner for Oaths. Prosecutors are generally as commissioners for oaths, but they are not allowed to do both for the same person. Thus, they send you to the company on track to sign the oath.
If it was you, everything is legal. If you had signed and then I won and you got another lawyer to attend this if I could steal your inheritance, it would be illegal.
Probate is simply a form of telling the world that X and Y is death is their executor. If you are the executor, once you have, you can take possession of the deceased's estate to distribute.
