How to prepare a power of attorney from the United States to buy property in India? Hello, I'm in the U.S. for at least a year. I bought a property in India recently. I want that my name be placed on spouse. It is also with me. My parents are here in Bangalore. Now I need to prepare for General Power of Attorney issued.
1. Is the GPA must be notarized in the United States and send a copy of India? Does it work?
2. Is the GPA must also notarized the Indian embassy in the U.S.?
3. Is this possible on white paper? Or should it be required to be stamped on paper?
Can you please explain the process to achieve this as I'm new to this process of surrogacy? Thank you,
I suggest you retain an international lawyer. Otherwise, it could not NOT legal. An international lawyer, make sure it is legal and you may have property taxes too even if the property is in India. Please find a lawyer of international renown.
