Erie College - Equine Industry Lake Lake Erie College is located in Painesville, Ohio. This college is a period of four years of private school non-profit that offers bachelor's, master's and post-baccalaureate certificates. Lake Eric College offers many different equine studies programs that focus on promoting students' confidence and leadership skills as well as all the horse related skills necessary to succeed in the equine industry .
Students may choose to specialize in many different fields. One is that students can focus on entrepreneurship sickness. The entrepreneurship program equine degree is a multidisciplinary approach that focuses on basic business management and education of horses that are necessary to succeed in the equine industry. Lake Erie College is the first institution in the country to offer this specialty. Students also learn valuable management skills with equine health and other equine courses.
Students can also choose to specialize in Equine Business and Facility Management. This diploma is for students who have an interest in the management aspect of the equine industry. Students are required to take advanced courses that prepare business for the sale of pharmaceuticals, marketing, equine nutrition, insurance and equine vacation.
Students can also choose to concentrate on becoming a riding teacher / trainer. This program is designed for students who have sufficient knowledge, skills, athleticism, and dedication to become a riding instructor and train horses. In addition to the requirements of the core curriculum, students will exercise their powers with care district. Students spend time working with young horses and inexperienced riders education so they can earn the confidence and skills needed to become professional trainers.
Students can also choose to focus on different concentrations of equine studies. Some of the different concentrations are available for students are therapeutic riding, stud farm management, marketing, and business management.

Lake Erie College is home to the Inter-Association Dressage 2006 Reserve National Champions.
Lake Erie College George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center is located in Concord Township, about six miles from the main campus. The center has a 100 'x 225' indoor arena seating 1,000 spectators, 70 attached 'x 130' warm-up arena, two outdoor dressage arenas of sand, limestone arena, a field of hunting with substantive obstacles, including both banks and trails. The riding became a British Horse Society approved establishment, obtaining certification by the internationally renowned British Horse Society (BHS) in 2005. It is one of seven institutions BHS approved riding in the U.S., the first to be approved in the State of Ohio and only the second American college to get approval.
The Clarence T. Reinberger Equestrian Work Center, part of the equestrian center, has a new roof, stalls, wash racks, paving, lighting and more. Also included within the 80 'x 96' arena and equine stud farm laboratory. The George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center offers over 110 stalls for horses.
