WHAT The minimum age to work in mines in Australia? Am 16 and 6 mouths old and have an IV Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and will soon get my degree in it so I was just wondering if I can get a good job in the mines.
I checked online for the same jobs, but all require at least 1 year experience.
In Western Australia, the minimum age for underground mining is 18, so I think it's the same thing in other states.
Facing Port Hedland, they can not get enough employees. Make a relay 12 months and then you can go on a mine near their homes.
To obtain a job in safety in mines, sorry you have no chance. You need a degree and many years of experience. If you are only interested in being a minor then you should not have a problem.
