I believe that many U.S. citizens are opposed to cockfighting as a sport. Although many people have developed their beliefs based on false and exaggerated information . I saw large quantities of information displayed throughout the Internet trying to educate the public regarding the weapons , but it was in vain.

I am sure that many people will be watching just the first bit of this post and dismiss it as another lawyer fighting cocks pleads his case to you. This is not the main purpose of this article. Although I may briefly mention my beliefs, the majority of this post will reveal that you have your beliefs are, as is the subject in hand.

The fact is that many of these people can not see beyond the visions of blood, gore and abuse that has been planted in the head by the animal rights agenda. They have been told countless stories, many of which were perversions of the truth regarding poultry forced to fight, while their owners cry out with a thirst for blood that may rival that of Vlad the Impaler ancient times. They picture a situation where prostitutes and drug dealers are plying their trade in open view, while the defenders of poor personal hygiene beat their wives and children behind the bleachers. They write their checks to the HSUS with a tear from their eyes as they picture a cute, cuddly chicken with an intelligence rivaling that of a primate, are taught by humans to fight, and they tortured refuse to do so.

All these beliefs are far from the truth in most cases, but they give the audience a warm fuzzy feeling as they send their donations. The donation meets the human need to feel like you've made a difference in the world. Today I'll tell you what a difference some of you have done in this world.

Of course, I completely understand why many do not believe what they hear from defenders of cockfighting, like cocker spaniels would be something to gain by getting the majority to see their perspective. Ask what they would have to win, and the only reasonable answer is that they regain their right to participate in the sport they love.

On the other hand, the agenda of animal rights have something to gain from you over to their side. What they have to gain is not freedom, or the preservation of their heritage, but cold, hard cash. The almighty dollar has always brought a lot of men and women to commit numerous crimes sordid. It would be nothing more than a farce to say to you that nobody stoop to spreading false information in order to win your hard earned money.

While many of you were enjoying your warm fuzzy feeling, your state legislature has been hijacked by individuals with severely distorted priorities. I do not intend, in this post, about my beliefs further. Instead, I will discuss your beliefs, as a group. I'm not going to speculate, but to discuss documented facts.
